Role Overview

As our Quantity Surveyor & Estimation Engineer, you will be the commercial backbone of Sri Skandan Construction™. You will calculate precise material takeoffs from architectural drawings, formulate market-accurate BOQs, and conduct financial reconciliation audits to guarantee maximum cost efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

  • Quantity Takeoff: Detailed extraction of earthwork, RCC concrete, steel rebar tonnage, brick masonry, plastering, flooring, and paint quantities from CAD drawings.
  • BOQ Preparation & Rate Analysis: Build line-item Bills of Quantities using CPWD specifications and current Tamil Nadu market labor/material rate benchmarks.
  • Contractor Billing & Certification: Verify subcontractor Running Account (RA) bills against actual site measurement books and recommend stage-wise payouts.
  • Material Reconciliation Audits: Compare theoretical vs actual consumption of cement, TMT steel bars, sand, and tiles on completed slabs to control losses.
  • Client Interim Valuations: Prepare transparent milestone invoices for clients with clear photo documentation and physical completion evidence.

Qualifications & Technical Proficiencies

• Education: B.E Civil Engineering / Diploma in Civil / NICMAR QS Certification.

• Experience: 3 to 6 years in civil quantity surveying, estimation, and billing in building projects.

• Software: Advanced MS Excel (Complex formulas, VLOOKUP, Cost models), AutoCAD, PlanSwift / Bluebeam.

• Codes: Thorough understanding of IS 1200 method of measurement for building works.
